Description

Ce modèle de jumelle à été produit selon les dessins d'usine d'époque WW2.

L'acier utilisé est identique, il y a bien la torsion entre les deux axes pour la précontrainte de charge.
Les graisseurs sont petit en 1/4 et non gros en 3/8.
Les embouts des douilles sont évidées comme les originales et non plate comme les fabrication aprés guerre.
Les bagues caoutchoucs ne sont pas plate, mais nous avons fait rajouter un logement pour épouser parfaitement l'extrémité de la douille afin de retenir le surplus de graisse.

This model of shackle was produced according to original WW2 factory drawings.

The steel used is identical, and there is torsion between the two axes for load pre-stressing.
The grease nipples are small (1/4“) rather than large (3/8”).
The ends of the sockets are hollowed out like the originals, rather than flat like post-war models.
The rubber rings are not flat, but we have added a recess to fit the end of the socket perfectly in order to retain excess grease.

The reason for the twist design is simple; a shackle system with two flat bars and two through bolts is supported at all four points.
The "U" shackle is only supported by the shape of the "U" itself.
It is like a big rig flat bed trailer that is arched so it will have flex when a load is applied.
It is the same principal.
